Old MacDonald had a farm ...

Hi, Janja is here!
Today I have two cards for you with a lovely scene on the farm.
Let me show you how I created my cards.

Supplies:
- CottageCutz dies: Barn & Windmill, Chickens & Coop, Cow, Pony, Goat, Pig, Geese, Old Farm Fence, Grass, Tree & Vines
- white card base: 4.25 x 5,35" (10,7 x 13,9 cm), folded
- white card stock: 4 x 5.2" (10 x 13,2 cm)
- colored card stock
- colored ink pads
- glue, double-sided adhesive tape, self-adhesive pads

From the "Autumn" release I have chosen two new dies.
Cut out all the pieces we need.
I used different colors of card stock. The edges are further highlighted with colored pads.

I added some animals from the older release "On the Farm".

Now prepare the card base and a rectangle from a white card stock, which is slightly smaller than the base surface of the card.
Spray the white rectangle with a blue and green color.

To finish the card attach all the elements to the prepared background with glue and self-adhesive pads.

Thank you so much for joining me. Have a nice day.

Birds

Hi, Janja here!
We are already in the middle of October, and it's time for my monthly post on the Scrapping Cottage blog.
Before starting to create with the new Christmas dies, I would like to show you two stamps from the new release of CottageCutz - Birds.

Supplies:
- CottageCutz stamps and dies: Sparrow on Post, Robin & Baby, Nested Stitched Scallop Square Set, Square Set, Circle Set (8th die from the middle), Stitched Circle Set (7th die from the middle)
- brown card base: 4.1 x 5.4" (9,5 x 12,7 cm), folded
- white card base: 5.3 x 5.3" (13,5 x 13,5 cm), folded
- white natural paper: 3.8 x 5" (9,6 x 12,7 cm)
- red cardstock: 4 x 5.2" (10 x 13,2 cm)
- patterned paper: 5 x 5" (12,6 x 12,6 cm)
- watercolor paper
- watercolor brushes
- red satin ribbon
- string
- glue, double-sided adhesive tape, self-adhesive foam pads
- Distress ink pads: Spiced Marmalade, Worn Lipstick, Barn Door, Aged Mahogany, Broken China, Twisted Citron, Peeled Paint, Vintage Photo, Hickory Smoke, Black Soot

Stamp both birds on a watercolor paper and color them.
For coloring I always use Distress ink pads, watercolor brushes and water. I used a white ink pen for finishing.

Stamp only branch with flowers one more time on a watercolor paper.

When we finish with coloring, stamp the sentiment.

Cut out two frames from patterned paper and white cardstock with two largest dies from the sets. Glue them to each other.

With the matching die cut out a bird. For a trunk in the background, use the die - Grass, Trees & Vines
Add a string at the bottom.

For a second card, cut out round holes in the middle of natural paper and brown cardstock. Apply a few light blue drops on a white natural paper with a brush.
Both papers are glued together.
Attach the red ribbon with the Dior Bow at the bottom.

Now everything is ready to assemble the card.

Thank you for coming over. Have a lovely day!

The Tandem Bike on a Scenic Route

Hello Scrapping Cottage friends! Thanks for taking the time to stop and visit today. It's Mary Marsh here bringing you the Saturday edition of the Blog.

Hope you have been enjoying all of the beautiful creations that the DT has been showing over these past weeks with the wedding dies. If you haven't seen them, just page back through the Blog for some delightful eye candy.

Today I am using one of the wedding dies, Tandem Bike, and decided to create a little outdoor scene with it. I am going to send this to a friend to let her know she is being thought of.  We ride bikes together at a local trail. So this die was perfect to use. Let's get started with some details of how I created my card.
Step 1: For my outdoor scene, I wanted a tree (grass, trees and vine die) a fence (garden accessories die) and the tandem bike. Cut these pieces first and then I chose my card colors of a medium gray and the blue -green based on the color I used on the tandem bike.

Step 2:  I used a cloud template and sponged Tumbled Glass Distress ink for my clouds. I used a Taupe ink and sponged the ground at the bottom of my card.
Step 3:  I am ready to start assembly of the die cuts in my scene. I used multi matte medium, glue dots and dimensional adhesive to secure. The tandem bike has dimensional adhesive. I wanted it lifted slightly off the card base so it wouldn't be flush against the fence.  It gives it a bit more depth this way.
Step 4:  I wanted a sentiment on the front of my card and I found one in my stash that was ideal for this card. Especially since the bike trail we ride on is very scenic. Decided to stamp it inside a cloud with the blue-green ink that matches the bike and the layering panel. Adhere it with dimensional adhesive. The cloud is part of the clouds & sun die.

And that is my card for this week. I hope I have given you some inspiration on another way to use this new wedding die. See you next Saturday.
